After working with "Space Streakings," the early version of "KAIRAI-BUNCH," which was formed as a robot battle performance group, and RAICHU, a unit he formed with Chu Ishikawa, Ikuo Shimizu continues to work solo under the name "KAIRAI-BUNCH," and has now completed his first collection of sound sources. Created through the use of a number of self-made instruments, which could also be considered musical weapons, the mechanical sounds they emit when flickering, rotating at high speed,

and being driven, are amplified and MIDI-controlled to form a sound that we must define as industrial techno music in the absolute truest sense. These vividly recorded tracks, meticulously composed and complemented with abundant photographs of the equipment, are a document that speaks of the continuing present progression of “industrealism”.

「スペースストリーキングス」、ロボットバトルパフォーマンス集団として結成した初期「カイライバンチ」、石川忠とのユニット「儡忠」などを経て、清水郁雄が今現在もソロとして活動を続ける「カイライバンチ」初の音源集が完成した。音楽兵器ともいえる自作楽器を多数使用、それらが明滅、高速回転、駆動する際に発する様々なメカニカルなサウンドを増幅し、MIDI制御され形成するサウンドは正にインダストリアルテクノミュージックであるといえよう。生々しく録音され綿密に構成されたトラックと豊富な機材写真で辿る、現在進行形の「インダストリアリズム」の軌跡である。
